Barry Brown
Barry is our very accomplished and extremely enthusiastic kayak guide for our Expedition swims. Barry watches over our swimmers and helps them experience the safest and most exciting swim ever!
Gary Emich
With more than 500 Alcatraz swims to his name, Gary is the Alcatraz expert extraordinaire.
Morgan Filler
Morgan was a member of the US National Open Water team, and for five years in a row she ranked among the top 5 open water swimmers in the country. In 1999 she won the World Championship title for the 25K distance. She has also been named to the Hall of Fame for Marathon Swimming. She lives in Berkeley and (when she's not guiding our group swims or surfing) is a massage therapist. Read more.
Colin Gift
Colin is a lifelong surfer, kayaker, and bay swimmer. He is also a professional photographer who has captured many beautiful shots of swimmers in San Francisco Bay. Read more.
Sarah Jane Marks
After swimming with Swim Art for three years, Sarah fell in love with Bay swimming. She now swims with both the South End Rowing Club and the Temescal Aquatic Masters in Oakland. She has completed numerous open water swims, including AT&T Park to Aquatic Park, Treasure Island to Embarcadero, and the Trans-Tahoe relay. When she is dry, Sarah is a librarian to 350 high school students.
